University Caravan tours campuses across the country

  • Top cryptocurrency traders formally announced the Philippine Association of Crypto Traders' (Impact) Innovative Movement. By offering a thorough and organized approach to teaching people about the changing cryptocurrency landscape and fostering an informed community in the fight against crypto-related scams, the group hopes to improve the nation's overall financial literacy. Arlone "Paul" Abello, CEO of FeastGold, the Global Miranda Miner Group (GMMG), and the Web3 learning platform Elite University leads Impact as its executive director and founding chairman. The Philippines Association of Crypto Traders aims to educate people about cryptocurrencies and their enormous potential. Our goal is to become the foremost authority in the Philippines for cryptocurrency trading, offering trustworthy and objective information use cases, and emerging trends,・ Abello said. The association has also announced a partnership with the Junior Confederation of Finance Associations Philippines (JCFAP), the national umbrella organization for associations of college students in finance or financial management.

    Impact will travel to higher education institutions throughout the Philippines as part of GMMG's "CrypTalk: University Caravan" initiative to educate finance students about the principles of cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, and Web 3. The initiative also aims to encourage ethical behavior and responsible engagement in the decentralized web and cryptocurrency ecosystem. Abello, Jimenez, and Lazaro discussed career prospects in the Web3 industry with students at Citi Global College in Laguna. They also provided insightful information on how to spot warning indicators of scams pertaining to cryptocurrencies.

    Starting November 14, 2023, the group is scheduled to visit eleven more schools, beginning with De La Salle University. "When it comes to investing, Generation Z can easily become overexcited. They are so willing to take risks that they fail to consider the possibility of losing all of their money, according to Abello. "We formed Impact to empower individuals to navigate the complexities of the digital economy confidently and equip the next generation of finance and technology professionals with essential knowledge about cryptocurrency and blockchain as transformative emerging technologies", Abello stated.

    Founding members include Jiro Reyes, CEO of edutech firm Bitskwela; lawyer Clarizel King, a corporate, technology, securities, health, and property law expert; Steve "Cesteam" Jimenez, community manager of decentralized multi-chain order book exchange ZKEX.com; Riki Dacanay, an entrepreneur and blockchain tech investor; and Gilbert "TitoVlogs" Lazaro, a stock and crypto market analyst awarded as the best trading advisor in the Philippines for 2022 by Trader's Fair. Impact has also appointed officers with diverse skills spanning various sectors, including assistant executive director Ivy Gutierrez, committee chairman for education Aubrie Cinco, committee chairman for industry Hygiene Jaspher Poblete, committee chairman for memberships and growth Mike Cruda, committee chairman for secretariat Renniel Balisong and assistant chairman for education Chester Flavier. The cryptocurrency traders group is open to collaborations to create internships and job placement opportunities for aspiring students.
