Tajikistan Launches First Global Science Lab, Education Milestone

  • The inaugural international science laboratory at the renowned Dushanbe International School has been officially launched in Tajikistan, marking a significant milestone in the nation's dedication to advancing its educational sector. This endeavor, facilitated with the assistance of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), was inaugurated in the presence of prominent dignitaries.

The opening ceremony of the science laboratory was attended by distinguished figures, including Umut Acar, Turkey's Ambassador to Tajikistan, and Parviz Sadiki, the General Director of Legal Affairs at the Tajikistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Notable participants also included Ali Özgün Öztürk, the Head of TIKA’s Central Asia and Caucasus Department, and Yunus Emre Koç, the Principal of the Dushanbe International School.

This new state-of-the-art laboratory promises a paradigm shift in the country’s educational infrastructure by offering hands-on experiences to primary, middle, and high school students in the fields of physics, chemistry, and biology. By bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, it aims to foster a more interactive and immersive learning environment.

Established in 1997, the Dushanbe International School, under the vision of President Emomali Rahman, operates with the mission of training diplomats and serving the children of foreign missions through English-medium education. The institution, which implements the esteemed Cambridge curriculum, stands as the only international school in the country. Accredited and currently serving 470 students, the school has become a symbol of educational excellence in Tajikistan.
