QFC & NUS AIDF Partner to Advance ESG & Digital Innovation

  • A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed by the Asian Institute of Digital Finance (AIDF), a research institute of the National University of Singapore (NUS), and the Qatar Financial Centre Authority (QFCA), the legal and tax division of the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC), a prominent onshore financial and business centre in the region. The goal of this strategic partnership is to advance collaborative efforts that foster innovation and advance sustainable development.

    The QFC and AIDF shall work together to identify areas of strategic relevance and mutual interest under the terms of this MOU. They will work together on a wide range of projects that include Web 3.0, digital assets, ESG, FinTech, and other cutting-edge technology. To promote their shared goals and objectives, both parties will actively facilitate the sharing of knowledge and ideas in addition to these activities.

    Chief Executive Officer of QFC Mohamed Al-Jaida expressed optimism about the collaboration, saying, "We are thrilled to collaborate with the Asian Institute of Digital Finance at the National University of Singapore to investigate and take advantage of the many prospects in the dynamic digital space. This collaboration is a reflection of our dedication to creativity and our faith in the ability of teamwork to bring about constructive change. We regard this partnership as a major step towards creating a more equitable financial industry as well as paving the way for a more sustainable future".

    The NUS Asian Institute of Digital Finance's Executive Director, Associate Professor Huang Ke Wei, also expressed excitement about the partnership, saying, "A holistic combination of education, research, and business incubation empowers the future of finance through digital innovation and academic excellence, and provides thought leadership". Our goal is to accelerate the development of the digital economy by disseminating knowledge and encouraging innovation. This partnership with QFC paves the way for a more promising, globally integrated digital future by promoting cross-regional knowledge exchange. The QFC and NUS AIDF's relationship demonstrates their common dedication to innovation, sustainability, and using technology to catalyse positive global progress.
