Prof. Nie Jianguo receives Mao Yisheng Sci-Tech Award

  • The 2023 Mao Yisheng Science and Technology Award winners were recently announced by the Mao Yisheng Science and Technology Education Foundation. Among the recipients was Professor Nie Jianguo, a distinguished figure in civil engineering at Tsinghua University, who was honored with the Bridge Award.

    Professor Nie holds the esteemed title of academician within the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), showcasing his profound expertise in structural engineering. At Tsinghua University, he serves as a professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, where he also holds the position of dean at the Institute for Future Cities and Infrastructures. 

    Additionally, he plays pivotal roles as the director of the university's Academic Committee and as the director of the Civil, Hydraulic, and Architectural Engineering Division of the CAE. Throughout his career, Professor Nie's pioneering research has significantly advanced the realms of structural and civil engineering in China, leaving a lasting impact on the field.
