Visang Education, a South Korean educational firm, announced that its AI-driven Korean language learning platform has been integrated into the Korean language education center at Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) in Malaysia. Known as Master K, the platform features advanced smart learning tools including virtual classrooms and AI-based pronunciation tests, enhancing capabilities for remote teaching and learning.
A private university in Kuala Lumpur has become the inaugural Malaysian educational institution to adopt Master K, an AI-powered platform developed by Visang Education. This expansion marks Master K's penetration into over half of the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) member states, including Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore.
"Korean is gaining significant attention across various cultures, and there is a growing enthusiasm among students to learn the language", said Professor Seo Kyu-won of the Korean Language Education Centre at APU. Visang aims to focus on enhancing advanced Korean language education and education technology-based services in the ASEAN region.
Master K, the AI-driven platform by Visang Education, has been deployed not only in Malaysia but also in 13 other countries including the United States, Japan, and Kazakhstan, as part of its strategy to capture a share in the global educational technology market. According to market research firm Grand View Research, the global educational technology market is anticipated to achieve a valuation of $348.4 billion by 2030. According to the Ministry of Education, as of 2023, Korean has been selected as a second foreign language in 23 countries and has been incorporated into college entrance examinations in 10 countries.
