Jennifer Pandya Steps into Marketing Role at Skoda Auto India

Skoda Auto India has confirmed Jennifer Pandya as its marketing head, the last in a series of critical appointments the company has made following recent leadership exits. At present, she is the Vice President of Marketing at CaratLane, the Tata Group-owned Titan company. She has close to two decades of experience under her belt. Prior to joining CaratLane, Jennifer was working with Shaadi.com and Times Group. Strengths include digital marketing and media strategies.

The new role of Pandya in Skoda Auto India has come along with a sharp increase sought by the company, more so with the introduction of the soon-to-be-launched sub-4-metre SUV, Kylaq. This is part of its strategy as it aims to penetrate the competitive Indian automotive market, where the brand just recently closed FY24 with total sales of 44,000 units and a market share of but 1%.

Notably, company management changes include hiring Petr Janeba as brand director in January 2024 and bringing on board Vishal Bhat from the VW Group to manage sales. In consumer insight, digital, and omni-channel marketing and brand communication background, Pandya is primed to take Skoda's growth in the region a few notches higher.

In her social media profile, Pandya noted that during the last two decades, she has worked extensively within different marketing domains such as "consumer insights, digital marketing and public relations in order to achieve key business objectives".
