Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu officially opened the Vidhya Samiksha Kendra, an AI-powered data center aimed at enhancing students' learning achievements in schools throughout Himachal Pradesh. Inaugurating the data center from his official residence, Sukhu highlighted the introduction of progressive educational reforms and advanced technologies to address forthcoming challenges in the education sector. The Vidhya Samiksha Kendra (VSK) functions as a data repository utilizing SwiftChat AI, empowering technological and data-based systematic improvements across all schools in Himachal Pradesh, Sukhu emphasized.
The Chief Minister highlighted the government's commitment to establishing a revamped educational system where students in government schools feel equally proud and competent compared to those in convent schools. He emphasized that noticeable reforms in the education sector will be apparent starting from the upcoming academic session. Utilizing AI technology and governance integration, students will gain enhanced visualization tools, enabling better decision-making abilities and improved learning outcomes, Sukhu expressed.
Regarding the Vidhya Samiksha Kendra (VSK), Sukhu mentioned its role in remotely monitoring key programs within the education sector. ConveGenius, the EdTech partner supporting Himachal Pradesh VSK, hosts various conversational AI chatbots on SwiftChat, acting as 'digital companions' by guiding students, aiding teachers, and providing crucial data for administrators. These tools will generate dashboards and report for districts, blocks, and individual schools, offering real-time data insights into student progress, teacher training, and overall school performance.
Sukhu highlighted that teachers could adapt their teaching approaches based on immediate feedback and remedial support, ensuring every student receives personalized attention to enhance learning outcomes. Reflecting on the state's past, the Chief Minister criticized the previous BJP government for opening schools for political gains but failing to provide adequate facilities, leading to a decline in educational standards. He highlighted the Congress government's action of de-notifying 900 schools due to insufficient facilities. Addressing a promise from the Congress manifesto 'Pratigya Patra', Sukhu affirmed that English medium schools will commence from Class 1 in the upcoming academic session. Education Minister Rohit Thakur, speaking at the event, emphasized that VSK would not only bolster the teaching-learning process but also pave the way for a brighter future for every student in the state, ensuring higher education standards.
