The Educational Research Association of Singapore (Eras), in alliance with the World Education Research Association (Wera) and the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, assembled for the Eras International Conference and Wera Focal Meeting 2023 in Singapore. 850 educators and researchers from across the world, including experts from the United Kingdom, United States, Spain, Germany, India and South-East Asian countries took part in the meeting.
The conference’s mission was to draw attention to the latest technologies, techniques and tools in education, labeling one of the first such symposiums after the Covid-19 pandemic. The conference allowed educational experts across the world to exchange ideas on the unique challenges, innovative solutions and progress achieved worldwide. Under the theme “Forging Ahead: Transforming Education in a Rapidly Changing World", speakers and practitioners gave a talk on a wide range of topics.
These took into consideration, assessment, curriculum studies, character and citizenship education, diverse and inclusive education, early childhood education, educational policy research, emergent technologies and education, leadership and education, post-Covid-19 teaching and learning, sustainability education, well-being and education, teacher education and professional development as well as motivation and learning. The conference provided participants with an understanding of global networking, trailblazing developments in educational analysis and applications for educational practice.
