CelcomDigi Bhd (CelcomDigi) has joined forces with South Korea's technology business, VIRNECT, in a strategic relationship to co-create industrial virtual learning programs infused with metaverse and AI-based solutions for multiple Malaysian colleges. Our collaboration intends to train graduates with metaverse capabilities, accelerating Malaysia's digital talent development alongside AI-driven growth. VIRNECT is a South Korean company that specializes in the development and marketing of industrial extended reality (XR) technologies. The cooperation is designed to transform education in Malaysia by providing students with immersive learning experiences across several disciplines via the Metaverse platform. These experiences will help businesses including cybersecurity, healthcare, robotics, and oil and gas engineering. CelcomDigi's Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Idham Nawawi, stated that this collaboration allows them to capitalize on the promise of Metaverse, 5G, and AI technologies. In doing so, they want to pave the way for creative digital solutions for Malaysian businesses, propelling Malaysia's digital ecosystem into a new era of leadership.
CelcomDigi's Innovation Center has a larger goal of creating an inspirational innovation ecosystem for the country. They want to introduce strategic initiatives that use cutting-edge metaverse and AI-based technology solutions into Malaysian higher education institutions through this relationship with VIRNECT and XRA, VIRNECT's local partner and support team. This ambitious project is a critical step in aligning education with the changing needs of industries and technology. The alliance aspires to produce a pool of industry-ready graduates who can smoothly integrate into a digital-centric workforce by integrating virtual learning programs with metaverse and AI. This effort is anticipated to equip Malaysia's future workforce with the skills and knowledge required to thrive in an AI-driven and technologically sophisticated environment.
The competence of VIRNECT in industrial XR solutions makes them an excellent partner for this project. Immersive learning experiences on the Metaverse platform would not only improve education but also equip students to contribute successfully to areas essential to Malaysia's economic growth, such as cybersecurity, healthcare, robotics, and oil and gas engineering. Additionally, the use of 5G technology will be critical in guaranteeing uninterrupted connectivity and a powerful digital learning experience. The combination of Metaverse with AI has the potential to create a dynamic educational environment that stimulates creativity and educates students for the digital age's problems and possibilities. Collaborations like this one between CelcomDigi and VIRNECT illustrate Malaysia's dedication to cultivating talent and promoting technical innovation as the country aspires to position itself as a digital leader. The incorporation of Metaverse and AI into higher education is a crucial step in equipping the future workforce with the skills needed to drive innovation and economic success in the digital era.
