Mayor Abigail Binay warmly congratulates the Makatrix team, emphasizing the city's dedication to nurturing the next generation of innovators and technologists. The team, comprising four Grade 12 ICT students, becomes a symbol of youth innovation, reflecting the tangible results of community and municipal backing.

The Makatrix team's success at the national championship at Xavier School in San Juan City signifies a significant milestone in their journey. With strong support from Makati, these young tech enthusiasts transition from mere participants to formidable contenders on the global stage, poised to compete against teams from 40 countries at the VEX Robotics World Championship

Makati's commitment to robotics education plays a pivotal role in the Makatrix team's accomplishments. Mayor Binay's vision for a tech-centric city is evident in the substantial support for co-curricular and extracurricular activities, fostering an environment where students can thrive in STEM fields and explore, innovate, and excel.

The VEX Robotics World Championship serves as more than just a competition; it's a platform for students, like the Makatrix team, to develop essential STEM skills through innovative technologies. This global event encourages technical abilities, programming, and critical thinking, as well as soft skills such as teamwork, collaboration, and communication.

The success of Makatrix is not achieved in isolation; it is attributed to a dedicated support network. Their coach, Zernie Pugao, supportive parents, and school officials contribute to the team's triumph, propelling them to national success and positioning them to potentially influence the future of smart cities and technological innovation.
