The 75th International Astronautical Congress in Milan is more than a vibrant convention to show the world what Azerbaijani students and researchers offer as contributions to the world of space science. Under the theme "Space Responsibility for Sustainability", they ventured into crucially important topics such as bioengineering, carbon management in microgravity, and impacts on human health in space conditions.
The congress is a venue for the exchange of knowledge, as the participation of a national team of nearly 50 Azerbaijani students, specialists, and scientists is included. These organizations support the national team, including 'SPACE Academy' of Azercosmos, SABAH Groups, and the Innovation and Digital Development Agency.
More than 11,000 visitors from around 120 countries, including major space agencies such as NASA, ESA, and others from Türkiye, the UK, Italy, and more, have been attracted to the event. The agenda is on contemporary issues surrounding the exploration of the cosmos, including innovative partnerships, potential opportunities associated with lunar and Martian missions, and a host of information to be discussed on the burgeoning space economy as well as entrepreneurship.
This congress not only encourages international collaboration but also positions Azerbaijan as an emerging player within the global space community.
