USAID Grants Myanmar Youth with Scholarships for Higher Education in Asia

  • USAID has introduced an innovative educational initiative focused on empowering the youth of Myanmar through higher education. Unveiled in Bangkok, Thailand, the USAID Diversity and Inclusion Scholarship Program aims to offer scholarships to more than 1,000 Myanmar students, enabling them to pursue university degrees across South and Southeast Asia.

    As part of a bold endeavor to address educational inequalities, the scholarship program focuses on Myanmar's most marginalized and underrepresented demographics, such as ethnic and religious minorities, individuals with disabilities, and displaced populations.
