US to launch Kent State University's branch in Turkmenistan

  • A branch of Kent State University will be established in Turkmenistan, a meeting was held between Kent State University'S Rector Todd Deacon and a delegation from Turkmenistan led by Deputy Minister of Education Azat Atayev.The project was discussed during a meeting between Kent State University President Todd Diacon and a Turkmen delegation led by Deputy Minister of Education Azat Atayev.

    Additionally, MoUs were signed between Kent State University and three Turkmen universities: the International University of Humanities and Development, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction.

    The agreements aim to expand academic programs, create joint educational and research initiatives, and strengthen cultural exchanges between the two countries.

    To note, the Turkmen delegation held several meetings as part of a visit to Washington, D.C., USA. The sides focused on the framework for academic evaluations and university accreditation, as well as a strategy for international accreditation to modernize Turkmenistan's educational system.
