Dr. Salem Al-Naemi says, "This cooperation shows how we can complement our shared vision to empower students and employees in Qatar with the expertise and understanding in a contemporary professional environment to build sustainable success. Food security is a key sustainability goal and, according to UDST, will be achieved through education and innovation.". The University has initiatives in projects like smart irrigation systems and converting food waste to agricultural fertilizers as part of the Third National Development Strategy of Qatar. We are working in partnership with Hassad Food toward enriching educational experiences that connect our academics' insights with real-world applications.

Eng. Ali Hilal Al-Kuwari said, "We are particularly glad to sign this MoU with UDST and are eager to collaborate on food and agriculture sector-related research. We are also eager to invite UDST students to join our internship program, which was launched in 2021 and aims at providing practical experience for generations working towards, educating, and explaining the importance of food security within various departments and affiliated companies.".

He stressed that the partnership is compatible with Qatar's 2030 vision and with Hassad's strategy of reinforcing the country's food security. The cooperation shall allow graduates to take scientific and practical training opportunities under Hassad and all of its subsidiaries. Such a measure ensures students derive the maximum mileage from their field training experiences.
