Universities of Singapore and North Carolina Unite for 'TREBLE' Program

  • The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the United States, Singapore Management University in Singapore, and Copenhagen Business School (CBS) in Denmark have united to offer a unique 18-month exchange program for undergraduates. TREBLE (TRicontinental Exchange in Business and Leadership Education) a program developed by the universities, allows students to experience business environments in the U.S., Asia, and Europe.

TREBLE aims to provide students with exposure to diverse cultures and business practices, helping them develop not only academically but also in terms of soft skills. Every year, 15 undergraduates from each organisation will have the opportunity to spend one-and-a-half years rotating between the three campuses, taking specially curated courses at each business school.

The program concentrates on themes related to leadership in people, organizations, and markets. Students will also have access to additional courses offered by each university. The goal is to create a close-knit cohort of 45 TREBLE students who will build connections and networks across continents.

UNC Kenan-Flagler Dean Mary Margaret Frank highlighted the program's adherence to developing inclusive leaders, while SMU LKCSB Dean Bert De Reyck emphasized the significance of providing global exposure to students. CBS Dean of Education Anna Thomasson stated that TREBLE offers exciting opportunities for students to gain a global perspective while attending institutions in three different countries and continents.
