UAE and Russian Presidents Inaugurate Sheikha Fatima Education Centre

  • Vladimir Putin and UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended the inauguration of the Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Centre for International Cooperation in Education, held at the Yevgeny Primakov Gymnasium in the Moscow Region.

During the event, Russian Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov and UAE Ambassador to Russia Mohammed Al Jaber updated the leaders on the educational collaboration between the two nations. The leaders participated in an Arabic lesson and a workshop on Arabic script, as well as a biology class with students from the Russian School in Abu Dhabi, which is a branch of the Primakov Gymnasium established in 2021. Students from the UAE joined the lesson via video conference.

Founded in 2024, the Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Centre aims to enhance educational opportunities for school children and young teachers in Russia by offering Arabic language programs, organizing Olympiads, and providing off-site internships. The Centre also hosts international scientific and practical forums for university staff, educators, and researchers. Key partners of the Centre include the Institute of Asian and African Studies at Lomonosov Moscow State University, Moscow State Linguistic University, and Chechen State Pedagogical University.
