Turkmen Educational Delegation Explores Advanced Tech for Future Learning Systems

  • A delegation of teachers and specialists from the Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute named after Seyitnazar Seydi went on a week-long working visit to France. The main purpose of this visit was to study advanced technologies, understand the role of artificial intelligence in various sectors, and examine how these innovations are integrated into educational, methodological, and research activities. This visit, according to the report of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, was aimed at enriching the institute's educational activities through learning from the world's best practices in AI and information security.

During the visit, the delegation attended a number of the most prominent institutions in France: Sorbonne University, City University of Paris, and the American Business School in Paris. Such visits gave teachers and specialists the opportunity to gain insight into the organization of both theoretical and practical classes. They were also able to discover how artificial intelligence is involved in the learning process, such as in 3D modeling for engineering and physics and in special courses dealing with robotics. Moreover, they witnessed the usage of contemporary educational tools and technologies with AI, which will be changing the way education and learning are performed.

Discussions and exchange of knowledge between the Turkmen delegation and their French counterparts on the trip were so in-depth. They mostly centered on the application of AI technologies in the designing and running of online training, among other things that improved the general educational process. Such a knowledge exchange offered such insightful views on how AI might improve the learning process and administration within educational institutions.

At the same time, a new building for Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute is under construction, at an accelerated pace in Turkmenabat as part of efforts to continuously improve educational infrastructure. In preparation for the new building, teachers and specialists of the institute had studied France's experience in equipping classrooms, research laboratories, and other educational spaces during a visit to France. The aim was to gain insights regarding how to best implement modern technologies and create a conducive learning environment in the new building. The visit also was an opportunity to explore additional avenues for developing mutually beneficial collaborative efforts between Turkmenistan and France in the domain of education, research, and technology.

The visit is part of the bigger scheme of modernization and further strengthening of the educational system in Turkmenistan as aligned with international trends and technological advancement. Through the creation of these international relationships and learning experiences from highly successful global models, Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute aims at improving educational quality and also contributing towards long-term innovation and development objectives in the country.
