Telangana's Young India Skill University has teamed up with the Singapore Institute of Technical Education (ITE) to advance its skill development programs. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Friday, marking a significant step forward in vocational education collaboration between the two institutions. The MoU was signed in the presence of Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and other senior government officials during the first day of their visit to Singapore.
The Telangana delegation, on its 'Telangana Rising' mission, held discussions with the officials at ITE and paid a visit to the ITE campus to review the skill development programs and superior facilities. They interacted with experts in each field and staff from the respective colleges who had conducted specialized trainings in every possible field: from engineering to health care.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said the cooperation of ITE with the Young India Skill University, located in the Fourth City of Hyderabad. IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu said that the university had been equipping the youth of the state with market-relevant skills through diverse courses. He proposed a mutual cooperation and wished to expand the scope in the areas of infrastructure, renewable energy, tourism, and sustainable initiatives.
The ITE team showed interest in the proposal and eagerly agreed to back the Skill University's mission. After several discussions, the MoU was signed formally by Parwinder Singh, Deputy Director of ITE, Fabian Cheong, Deputy Director of ITE Education Services (ITEES), and V.L.V.S.S. Subba Rao, Vice-Chancellor of Young India Skill University. The ITE delegation is planning to visit Hyderabad soon to further explore collaboration opportunities.
The Telangana delegation included Principal Secretary of Industries, Jayesh Ranjan, Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC) MD Vishnuvardhan, and Chief Minister's Special Secretary, Ajit Reddy.
