SPSU Hosts Chiba University of Commerce Students for Semester Exchange Program

  • Sir Padampat Singhania University (SPSU) in Udaipur has warmly welcomed students from Chiba University of Commerce (CUC), Japan, for a semester exchange program running from August to October 2024. The Hon'ble President, Prof. (Dr.) Prithvi Yadav emphasized Udaipur's rich cultural heritage in his address and celebrated the 13-year-long partnership between SPSU and CUC.

    He encouraged the students to delve into innovation and embrace a lifelong learning journey. In his inaugural address, the Hon'ble Vice President & Head of the Education Vertical at JK Cement Ltd, Col (Dr.) Sanjay Sinha praised the strong cultural, economic, and political ties between India and Japan. He urged the students to cultivate managerial skills, grasp the complexities of the global economy, and engage actively in cross-cultural academic experiences that would expand their perspectives and equip them for the global workforce.

    The exchange program shall engage the students with a unique multicultural learning experience through a diverse curriculum including Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Public Speaking and Corporate ethics, interactive workshops, historical visits and cultural activities. It also reflects SPSU’s commitment to fostering a multicultural learning environment and aligns with the university’s vision of preparing students to become global citizens who are well-equipped to contribute to an interconnected world.

    Prof. Sadananda Prusty, Dean of the School of Management, Prof. Prasun Chakrabarti, Dean of Research and the School of Engineering, and other faculty members inspired the CUC students by highlighting the value of interdisciplinary learning and the integration of management and engineering principles. They encouraged the students to participate in collaborative projects, engage in research initiatives, and develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership skills to succeed in the global job market. The program was coordinated by Dr. Shweta Lalwani, Head of the School of Management.
