Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) has further strengthened its global position by establishing strategic global alliances at the APAIE 2025 conference.
Headed by Vice Chancellor Prof. Nazir A. Ganai, SKUAST-K delegation spoke for India's agricultural education community at the elite event organized from March 24-28 at Yashobhoomi International Convention Centre at New Delhi. The university stood out as the only agricultural university among India's 60 member universities at this inaugural APAIE conference held in India.
On the inaugural day, Director Education Prof. M. Altaf Bhat and Associate Director Education Prof. Mohammad Anwar Bhat attended the matchmaking sessions of the Austria India Cooperation Forum, arranged by the Austrian Embassy and the Ministry of Education's Study in India program.
The university's participation led to immediate outcomes with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Asia Pacific University, Malaysia. The group also made significant headway in sealing arrangements with two New Zealand institutions Massey University and SIT University in terms of research collaborations, student exchange and joint academic programmes.
SKUAST-K's participation in the APAIE Capacity-Building Masterclass and interactions with multiple international delegations, including that of Slovakia, reflects the commitment of the university to extend its global reach in agricultural research and education.
