Sheikh Hamdan has approved Dh530 million for the expansion of Dubai Schools

  • The allocation of funds for the expansion received approval from Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai. This move is in accordance with the Dubai Social Agenda 33, a initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai. The expansion project aims to increase capacity by adding more than 6,400 seats, 295 classrooms, and 123 specialized laboratories. By 2033, it is expected to raise the total number of available seats in Dubai Schools to 15,000. Sheikh Hamdan emphasized the commitment to establishing an innovative education system in Dubai that nurtures and empowers future leaders, aligning with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid. This dedication is in line with the Dubai Social Agenda 33, with a focus on the theme "Family: The Foundation of the Nation."

He emphasized, "Through the promotion of a culture centered on educational brilliance, our goal is to provide the youth with the necessary skills and knowledge to prosper in a swiftly evolving landscape. The recent undertaking to enlarge the Dubai Schools project aims to guarantee that the educational offerings in the emirate not only meet but surpass global standards of educational excellence." The expansion of Dubai Schools is in harmony with the objectives outlined in the Dubai Social Agenda 33, which aims to elevate the standard of education in Dubai, positioning it among the top 10 cities globally.

The initiative aims to establish an exceptional education system in the emirate, concentrating on expanding the number of schools and available seats, investing in modern technologies and facilities, and fostering innovation and creativity within the classroom. Introduced in March 2021 by Sheikh Hamdan, the Dubai Schools project strives to introduce an innovative educational model that delivers high-quality education at an affordable price. It also aims to create a novel Emirati schooling system that offers a superior standard of education grounded in national values. The Al Khawaneej and Al Barsha schools are direct results of the Dubai Schools project.
