SamSU Collaborates with Tuscia University to Boost Academic Ties

  • Samarkand State University (SamSU) has taken a significant step towards international collaboration in education and research by formalizing a partnership with Tuscia University in Italy. The memorandum of cooperation was signed following a visit by Tuscia University's Rector, Stefano Ubertini, leading a delegation to SamSU.

    During the meeting, which included Akmal Akhatov, SamSU's Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, there were discussions on various avenues for academic collaboration. One key aspect was the proposal to establish an Italian educational center within SamSU's campus, facilitating joint educational programs at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Additionally, plans were discussed for the exchange of professors, teachers, and students, as well as the organization of short-term summer school courses to enhance academic experiences.

    In addition to educational initiatives, both universities are keen on collaborating in scientific research projects on contemporary issues. They have agreed to host "Tuscia Days" at Samarkand State University in June 2024, which will serve as a platform for cultural exchange and further strengthening academic ties between the institutions.

    Tuscia University, holds a distinguished reputation, particularly excelling in agrobiotechnology, fruit and viticulture, climate change, and forestry. SamSU aims to leverage Tuscia University's expertise to enhance its academic offerings and research capabilities, thereby enriching the educational landscape in Uzbekistan. Through this partnership, both universities aim to foster mutual growth and contribute significantly to the advancement of education and research on a global scale.
