In an inspiring show of academic excellence and international reach, Ras Al Khaimah American Academy proudly rolled out its International Leadership in Business programme this April in partnership with Ivy Camps. Conducted in Singapore, the rigorous 10-day immersion programme saw high-achieving high school students welcomed on a full scholarship offered by the Academy.
This prestigious academic program attests to the academy's commitment to raising future leaders through equipping them with the necessary knowledge, skills, and cultural insight to excel in a globalized world. The program emphasized developing a global mind, building academic and personal achievements, and introducing students to high-impact business environments.
Sheikh Faisal Al Qassimi, chairperson of Ras Al Khaimah American Academy, was very positive about the initiative and said: "This programme reflects our commitment to nurturing gifted and ambitious students to expand their horizons beyond classroom walls."
During their stay in Singapore, students participated in sessions conducted by globally renowned organizations like IBM, Cisco, and the UAE Embassy in Singapore. These sessions gave participants a unique, behind-the-scenes glimpse into international business practices, leadership tactics, and innovation at work.
The programme ended with an energetic pitch session, where students pitched their innovative business concepts to a mock panel of investors. They sharpened their business planning, market analysis, value proposition crafting, and fund-raising skills setting the stage for a successful entrepreneurial future.
Especially empowering for young women, the program was instrumental in increasing college preparedness and ambition through hands-on experience and mentorship. "Our ultimate goal was for these young women to get hands-on, first-hand experience of innovative and global business places before they go to college", says Nourjannah Hendi, chief business officer of Ivy Camps.
