Samsung Gulf Electronics, in collaboration with the Qatar Ministry of Sports and Youth and Youth Entrepreneur Club, has proudly announced the successful completion of the inaugural Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) program in Qatar, with 64 students graduating from a rigorous three-month course focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). The graduation ceremony, held in Doha, saw the enthusiastic recipients receiving their certificates, marking the culmination of their intensive learning journey.
Themed "Together for Tomorrow! Enabling People", the program aimed to empower ambitious learners with a STEAM background (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) by enhancing their proficiency in machine learning (ML) and fostering a comprehensive understanding of AI and its diverse applications.
DooHee Lee, President of Samsung Gulf Electronics, commended the dedication and effort exhibited by the students throughout the program, emphasizing their newfound skills and confidence poised to propel their professional and personal endeavours forward. Lee highlighted the significance of these acquired talents in contributing to Qatar's digital economy and sustainable development. Gratitude was also extended to the Ministry of Sports and Youth and the Youth Entrepreneur Club for their collaborative efforts and foresight in launching the initiative.
Ibrahim Khaled Al-Sulaiti, President of the Youth Entrepreneur Club, echoed Lee's sentiments, expressing pride in the partnership's milestone achievement. Al-Sulaiti emphasized the initiative's role in fostering innovation and equipping the youth with essential AI and machine learning skills, paving the way for technological advancements and a prosperous future.
The specialized curriculum of the course provided students with comprehensive knowledge of AI tools and applications relevant to professional environments. Through a blend of expert instruction and interactive online sessions, participants gained a deep understanding of AI fundamentals, statistical analysis, algorithms, and programming, delivered in a flexible, self-paced format with access to supplementary materials.
