The State of Qatar attended the 7th meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Ministers of Education and the 23rd meeting of the Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Muscat, Oman. Qatar's delegation to both sessions was led by Minister of Education and Higher Education HE Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi. The 7th conference of the Ministers of Education focused on numerous areas of mutual interest among GCC nations, such as artificial intelligence and expanding international collaboration. The summit also stressed the need of working together to achieve the fourth Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) of quality education.
The Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research met for the 23rd time to discuss several topics of common interest, including the importance of focusing on digital transformation and cybersecurity in higher education in GCC countries, the importance of strengthening cooperation with international and regional organizations specialized in academic accreditation and educational quality, and the importance of supportin. HE On the fringes of the two sessions, the Minister and his entourage went to the students' exhibition for scientific discoveries. On June 3-4, 2024, Qatar will host the 8th meeting of the GCC Ministers of Education and the 24th meeting of the GCC Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as well as the preparatory meetings for the undersecretaries of the GCC Ministries of Education and Higher Education and Scientific Research.
