PwC Academy Opens Admissions for Sixth Edition of YES Programme

  • PwC Academy, the talent development division of PwC Middle East, has opened applications for the sixth edition of its successful Young Employable Scholar (YES) Programme. This two-and-a-half-year program offers a unique opportunity for students to gain the prestigious ACCA qualification, a UAE VAT Compliance Diploma, and AI training, with 80percent of graduates securing jobs in top organizations.

The YES Programme is designed to equip students with the essential skills needed for a successful career in accounting and finance. It combines practical training, qualifications, and exposure to industry experts from a leading firm, preparing students for real-world work. This program provides a fast track to a career, allowing graduates to begin working and advancing in their field while others are still studying.

A recent graduate shared, "The YES Programme was an amazing experience. The teaching and support were outstanding, and I secured a job at PwC within a month of graduating".

The programme reflects a growing trend in higher education, where there is more focus on job-relevant skills rather than traditional degrees. A recent report from the World Economic Forum (WEF) and PwC showed that only about 50percent of workers are in jobs that match their formal education, highlighting the need for more skills-based education.

The YES Programme also offers opportunities for internships with well-known organizations in the UAE. Graduates who wish to continue their education can skip traditional degree requirements and move directly to an MSc from the University of London.

Taimur Ali, PwC Partner and Head of Qualifications at PwC Academy, says, “The YES Programme gives students a comprehensive academic experience, providing the skills needed to succeed in today’s fast-paced world”.

The programme is open to exceptional high school graduates with strong academic performance in Mathematics and English, as well as leadership potential and a commitment to accounting or finance
