Khalifa University (KU), situated in Abu Dhabi, provides full or partial scholarships to all full-time master's and doctoral students admitted to its programs. This opportunity is open to students of any nationality. KU offers M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs spanning engineering, medicine, security, science, and technology.
Scholarships encompass 50, 75, or 100 percent coverage of tuition fees, accommodation, health insurance, and a competitive monthly stipend. Additionally, support for air travel expenses between the student’s home country and Abu Dhabi may be available.
Scholarship eligibility is determined during the admissions process, obviating the need for a separate application. Applicants undergo review and are allocated to specific scholarship tiers based on academic achievement and other relevant factors. However, meeting the criteria for a particular tier doesn't guarantee a scholarship, as availability is limited.
Khalifa University is a research-intensive institution comprising three colleges, three research institutes, 18 research centres, and 17 departments spanning various scientific, technical, and medical domains. It remains adaptable to the evolving national objectives and priorities of the U.A.E. while fostering an innovation ecosystem crucial for the country's targeted transition to a knowledge-based economy.
In the 2022 Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings, Khalifa University secured the 37th position among Asian universities. Back in September 2018, it attained the top spot in the UAE and the second position in the Arab region according to the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2019. Furthermore, in March 2023, Khalifa University's Petroleum Engineering department achieved the 8th rank globally in the 2023 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings by Subject for Engineering and Technology.
