PLKI UIN Jakarta Sends 10 Students for Training at Universiti Putra Malaysia

  • The Jakarta International Cooperation Service Center (PLKI) hosted a briefing and the release of on-the-job training participants as part of the capacity-building program for UIN Jakarta’s education personnel at Universiti Putra Malaysia. The event took place in the Main Conference Room of the Rectorate Building. UIN Jakarta dispatched 10 educators from various departments, including Student Affairs, Academic, Administration, and others.

Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D, explained that structurally, UIN Jakarta has not conducted direct training to build a work culture. However, the preparation of educators who will be sent to UPM remains a priority. Prof. Asep emphasized the importance of maintaining the attitude, speech, and culture of Indonesia while abroad, as part of the representation of UIN Jakarta in the international arena.

Moreover, Prof. Asep highlighted that, alongside upholding their personality and mentality, it is crucial for educators to foster effective communication, both among participants and with UIN Jakarta remotely. By promoting harmonious communication and strong intentions, educators are expected to significantly enhance the quality development of UIN Jakarta through their international experience at UPM.

“With the on-job training for UIN Jakarta educators, it is expected that the participants who will leave later can get lessons and teachings that can be implemented directly at UIN Jakarta”, explained the Rector of UIN Jakarta.

During a previous event, Prof. Imam Subchi, M.A., Vice Rector for General Administration, reminded educators and participants heading to Malaysia about the significance of upholding their attitudes and cultural values while abroad. He stressed the necessity of maintaining a professional demeanor, particularly in interactions with the international community.

According to him, maintaining personality and ethics is key to building good relationships and avoiding unnecessary conflicts while serving abroad. “We must maintain our attitude, culture, and not be easily provoked by negative things while in Malaysia. Remember, we carry the good name of UIN Jakarta and Indonesia”, said Prof. Imam. The briefing was conducted by Prof. Maila Dinia, M.A., Ph.D., Head of the International Cooperation Service Center, who outlined the departure process and the steps involved in working at Universiti Putra Malaysia.
