In the Philippines, only one out of every four students who start first grade will finish a college degree. Many students face financial barriers that make higher education difficult to access. PHINMA Education, a private education group, is working to change this by offering affordable courses from college to university level at twelve institutions in the Philippines and Indonesia. So far, PHINMA Education has helped over 144,000 students and offers more than 110 programs. Many of these students are the first in their families to earn a degree or diploma.
To enhance its teaching and learning experiences, PHINMA Education partnered with Lenovo to streamline its IT infrastructure. The partnership aims to create a unified technology ecosystem across its schools. By providing advanced devices and software, Lenovo helps PHINMA create engaging learning environments and support personalized learning through easy access to digital content.
PHINMA Education faced challenges managing multiple technology brands across its campuses, making IT support inconsistent. To solve this, the organization decided to consolidate its technology with Lenovo. This move simplifies IT management, reduces costs, and makes data migration to the cloud easier.
PHINMA Education also implemented Lenovo’s EdVision program, which helps teachers integrate technology into their classrooms. This program, along with Lenovo’s Device as a Service (DaaS), optimizes resource allocation and minimizes downtime. With Lenovo managing its IT infrastructure, PHINMA can focus on providing top-quality education using the latest technology and teaching methods.
In the past two years, PHINMA Education has acquired around 2,000 Lenovo devices and plans to add 1,000 more by 2025. The future plans include integrating Lenovo’s TruScale Device as a Service and Managed Services to ensure a steady supply of reliable devices and continuous IT support.
With Lenovo’s support, PHINMA Education is helping low-income students break the cycle of poverty and expand its impact across Southeast Asia.
