NTUB: Leading AI and Management Education at Taiwan's Business School

  • Amid Taiwan's rapid advancements in AI, fueled by its strong semiconductor industry, the National Taipei University of Business (NTUB), the region's oldest business institution, is embracing this new era of intelligence. The university has updated its curriculum and enhanced its research capabilities by introducing various AI-focused courses. These courses aim to equip students with cutting-edge international management and leadership skills that align with the latest industry trends.

In recent years, NTUB has aligned its recruitment strategies with the local New Southward Policy, fostering educational cooperation and exchange programs with institutions in Thailand, Vietnam, and Myanmar. This strategy also promotes collaboration among domestic and international academic entities, businesses, and organizations within the ASEAN community.

NTUB is broadening its ASEAN-focused academic initiatives by offering cross-disciplinary teaching and research projects both locally and internationally. The university is actively recruiting international students and creating specialized classes tailored for them. This approach aims to expand academic options for overseas students, particularly from Southeast Asia, with the goal of developing them into high-level management professionals with global expertise.

In March, NTUB presented its International Business Talent Programme at the Education Expo in Indonesia, engaging with over 47 Indonesian science and technology universities to attract students to Taiwan. Additionally, the university has established the New Southbound Talent Development Centre on its Taipei campus to provide customized talent training solutions for Taiwanese businesses, addressing local talent needs.

NTUB, established in 1917 as Taiwan's first business school, has evolved alongside the island's economic expansion, workforce requirements, industrial transformation, and technological advancements. The institution has developed a comprehensive academic system that includes five-year specialized education programs to doctoral degrees, solidifying its status as one of Taiwan's premier business schools and a leader in technical and vocational business education. With nearly 150,000 distinguished alumni, NTUB has made significant contributions worldwide.
