NSBM Green University, Sri Lanka's leading institution for higher education, recently concluded its inauguration ceremony to welcome the latest batch of students for the March 2024 Intake of its Undergraduate Degree Programs. The event, held at the university premises, brought together NSBM staff, including Vice Chancellor Prof. E. A. Weerasinghe, along with esteemed guests, parents, and newly enrolled students.
This ceremony marks a significant milestone in NSBM's journey, as it welcomed over 1500 students embarking on undergraduate studies across various faculties including Business, Computing, Engineering, Science, and Law. Divided into three sessions, the ceremony aimed to orient the newcomers on essential procedures, operations, and aspects of their academic journey at NSBM. It featured keynote speeches, presentations, and sessions designed to provide an immersive experience.
Distinguished chief guests graced each session, including the High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka, His Excellency Santosh Jha; Secretary to the Ministry of Education, Ms. Wasantha Perera; and President of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce & Industry of Sri Lanka, Mr. Keerthi Gunawardane. Their speeches offered valuable insights and motivation to the incoming students.
Participants were encouraged to make the most of NSBM's status as a fully government-owned institution, offering state-of-the-art facilities and an international university setting conducive to learning and research. Registration for the March 2024 Intake commenced immediately after the conclusion of the G.C.E. Advanced Level examination.
