New Smart System for Global Chinese Learning Launched

  • The Smart System of International Chinese Education made its debut on International Chinese Language Day, heralding a new era in Chinese language instruction. Developed jointly by the Ministry of Education's Center for Language Education and Cooperation and Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU), this platform is designed to revolutionize the teaching process with a focus on student-centric methodologies.

Equipped with a plethora of teaching resources, the system seamlessly integrates various modes of instruction, practice, and assessment. Its adaptive features foster personalized interactions between educators and learners, catering to individual needs and learning styles. A highlight of the system is its intelligent assessment tools, capable of generating test papers, evaluating both objective and subjective questions, and leveraging data analytics to tailor instruction based on student performance.

The launch took place on "Chinese-Plus," a cloud-based platform renowned for its extensive repository of high-quality educational materials, spanning across 202 countries and regions and serving over 10 million registered users. With a vision to harness digital technology for the global benefit of learners and advance international Chinese language education, the Center for Language Education and Cooperation is committed to enhancing access and promoting excellence in language instruction worldwide.

In addition to the Smart System, significant milestones were unveiled at the launch ceremony, including standardized grading criteria for Chinese language education and the Mandarin Excellence Program initiated by the British Council China, facilitating immersive learning experiences for students from over 60 UK schools in China. Recognizing the growing importance of Chinese language proficiency in fostering cross-cultural exchanges and business opportunities, initiatives like the United Nations' "Chinese+Tourism" Online Training Program aim to equip tourism professionals with linguistic and cultural insights to better engage with Chinese-speaking communities.
