New Girls' School Opens in Sancharak, Boosting Education in Sar-e-Pul

  • In a significant educational development for northern Afghanistan, the Directorate of Education in Sar-e-Pul has inaugurated a newly built girls' school in the Sancharak district. With an investment exceeding 15,700,000 Afghanis (AFS), this new facility represents a major advancement in the region's educational infrastructure. The school is a vital stride toward meeting the educational needs of girls in Sancharak, a region where access to quality education has traditionally been scarce.

The opening ceremony, attended by local officials and community leaders, highlights the ongoing efforts to improve educational facilities and access in Afghanistan’s remote areas. According to Hedayat-Ur-Rahman Sadaqat, the Deputy Director of Education for Sar-e-Pul, the new school is designed to enhance the educational environment for female students. The facility includes eight classrooms and four administrative rooms, aimed at accommodating both students and educational staff in a more structured and supportive setting.

The investment underscores a broader dedication to enhancing educational opportunities for women and girls, crucial for fostering sustainable social and economic growth in the region. Local district leaders have expressed their excitement about the project, highlighting its potential to create a more supportive learning environment and boost enrollment rates among girls. The inclusion of administrative rooms is also intended to enhance the school's management and operational efficiency. With the new academic year approaching, the Directorate of Education is optimistic that the upgraded facilities will significantly improve educational outcomes for girls in Sancharak.
