The Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) hosted the 12th annual Board Meeting of the Asia Technological University Network. The event took place in the university's Boardroom, as representatives from universities of seven countries in the region gathered together for this annual board meeting.
MSU-IIT has been part of ATU-Net, a consortium of institutions that advance education and research in engineering and technology, ever since its inception in 2016. This network will engage institutions toward strategic international collaborations for level-cap exemplification of global standards in academics and research.
ATU-Net encompassed an impressive roster of 45 member institutions from countries including Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei Darussalam, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, China, Japan, Bangladesh, Uzbekistan, and India. The network's collaborative spirit focused on promoting innovation and technological advancement across Asia.
In an interview, Chancellor Alizedney Ditucalan said, “Our hosting of the ATU-Net Board Meeting is not just an honor; it reflects our dedication to enhancing educational collaboration and innovation in the region. It is through this that we can elevate our institutions and empower the next generation of leaders in technology and engineering.”
During the meeting, it was announced that Vietnam would host the next ATU-Net Board Meeting, building on the collaboration and discussions initiated during this gathering and fostering even deeper connections among member institutions.
The inclusion of MSU-IIT in this influential network is anticipated to significantly enhance its research capabilities and educational offerings, further positioning the university as a key player in the region's higher education landscape.
Coming off the heels of the successful event, there is great excitement within the MSU-IIT family with hopes that this meeting brings forth long-lasting cooperation and fuels creative momentum in technological and engineering education in Asia.
