Ministry of Education Qatar, hosts second 'Digital Designer' Competition

  • Demonstrating a commitment to nurturing creative abilities, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE), through the Information Technology Department of the Educational Guidance Department, hosted the second edition of the "Digital Designer" Competition for the academic year 2023-2024. This competition encompassed public schools, overseen by Information Technology specialists in collaboration with Sakina Bint Al Hussein Preparatory School for Girls and Al Ahnaf Bin Qais Preparatory School for Boys. A noteworthy 87 schools, consisting of 46 for girls and 41 for boys, actively participated in the event, involving a total of 174 students.

    The competition seeks to foster students' proficiency in digital design, recognizing it as a fundamental element in educational learning that fosters creative thinking, nurtures talents, and augments their design capabilities through computer programs. During the competition, students shared experiences and showcased remarkable and distinctive digital design creations, underscoring the earnest endeavors of schools in adequately equipping students and honing their skills in information technology and modern skills essential for the twenty-first century. 

    The students' remarkable accomplishments underscore the excellence of the educational curricula and programs supported by the Ministry, aligning with Qatar Vision 2030's aspirations for sustainability. Upon the conclusion of the competition, the results were unveiled by the Information Technology Section of the Educational Guidance Department. Various schools achieved top honors in distinct categories, including graphic design for novices, design and three-dimensional printing, and advanced graphic design.
