  • In a landscape filled with numerous top-tier educational institutions, Middlesex University (MDX) Dubai stands out, maintaining its status as the largest UK university in Dubai according to the KHDA’s latest Private Higher Education Open Data report for 2023-2024. With an enrolment of over 5,600 students from more than 120 nationalities, MDX Dubai’s exceptional student experience, which includes academic excellence, employability, sports and cultural activities, and industry engagement, sets it apart in the region.

MDX offers a rigorous and dynamic learning environment, supported by a faculty of experts within research-driven settings. The university provides high-quality UK degrees from Dubai, offering over 70 specialized programs across various fields such as business, law, psychology, accounting and finance, health and education, science and technology, media, and design, and starting in September 2024, sports science.

Students at MDX Dubai enhance their social and leadership skills through a range of activities that prepare them for life beyond university. The Student Activities team organizes up to three international trips annually to destinations like Japan, Georgia, and Italy, along with local excursions such as beach cleanups and hikes to promote teamwork and environmental stewardship. The university’s sports coaches lead more than 15 teams, achieving notable success in regional inter-university competitions.

The Careers and Employability Services department at MDX Dubai prepares students for the workforce, having secured over 1,280 opportunities for current students and alumni in the past academic year. Each degree program emphasizes industry exposure, leveraging Middlesex’s extensive network of connections.

MDX integrates innovative thinking into student life through facilities like the VRx Lab, where students can explore virtual design and psychology, and the RoboTechx Lab, which focuses on robotics. In March 2024, MDX inaugurated the Middlesex Innovation Hub (MIH) with the presence of His Excellency Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of Dubai Future Foundation, to support students with innovative ideas and foster entrepreneurial thinking.
