Mawhiba, an organization that looks after the talents of Saudi's gifted students in science, is set to hold its third international conference this month, which goes under the theme 'Beyond Creative Minds'. The Global Conference for Giftedness and Creativity will be held at the King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center in Riyadh from November 24 to 26. According to Khalid Al-Sharif, acting secretary-general of Mawhiba, "this is a global platform for young, talented, and creative individuals to collaborate and help build a prosperous future through the exchange of ideas and expertise".
“The event reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to supporting and empowering talent and promoting a culture of innovation to address future global challenges”, he added.
The conference is expected to attract experts and researchers in the fields of science, technology and innovation from more than 50 countries, many of whom will give keynote speeches, take part in panel discussions and lead workshops.
Al-Sharif said the event will include a “'creathon' aimed at finding creative solutions to contemporary challenges. Attendees will also have access to exhibitions and various cultural visits scheduled alongside the conference.”
He said Mawhiba, whose Arabic name translates officially to King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity, will continue the work of cultivating talent, creativity and facilities to support talented students in bringing this potential into reality. He also thanked Minister of Education Yousef Al-Benyan on his magnanimous cooperation with the biennial meeting.
