Malaysia Calls for 2024 King's Scholarship Applications in STEM and Beyond

  • The Public Service Department (PSD) has initiated the application process for the esteemed 2024 King's Scholarship, targeting Malaysian citizens. This initiative aims to facilitate advanced studies in critical fields such as Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), economics, law, Islamic finance, and artificial intelligence. The scholarship is applicable for Master's and PhD level studies at both local and international institutions.

    Prospective candidates are urged to submit their applications online through the official portal until March 29, 2024. All applications, accompanied by required documents, must reach the PSD by April 5, 2024. Eligibility criteria include being a Malaysian citizen under 35 years of age as of January 1, 2024, possessing exceptional academic achievements, and actively participating in creative, innovative, or community activities.

    Applicants need to exhibit academic excellence, holding a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 3.75 or a first-class degree or its equivalent. Furthermore, candidates must have secured or started full-time studies at approved institutions for the scholarship year. There is a distinct emphasis on applicants' involvement in creative, innovative works, or community service, with priority given to those engaged in co-curricular activities.
