According to a statement from KFAS, the MoU aligns with their vision to contribute to the development of digital expertise in areas such as science data, technology, high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, the internet, robotics, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.

The memorandum of understanding (MoU) allows for the potential establishment of collaborative programs to enhance digital skills among students and professionals across various sectors and to advance the research capabilities of scholars in Kuwait. Furthermore, it facilitates collaboration in research, the transformation of enterprises related to artificial intelligence and technologies, as well as the organization of workshops and development programs in the fields of sciences, technologies, and innovation. The MoU also involves updating the content of education in sciences, technologies, engineering, and online mathematics. The signing ceremony was attended by KFAS Director General Dr. Amina Farhan, Dr. Jaesung Kim (head of the Korean institute), Korean ambassador Chung Byung-ha, and other prominent figures from both entities. Last year, the Kuwaiti foundation's delegation participated in various scientific activities hosted by the Korean institute.

The Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS), a private nonprofit organization, was founded in 1976 through an Amiri Decree directed by the late Amir of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. His lasting vision aims to foster a vibrant culture of science, technology, and innovation (STI) to ensure the sustainability of Kuwait.
