In the upcoming academic year of 2024-25, the initial cohort of students will embark on their studies at Aberdeen, marking the commencement of a strategic alliance. This partnership particularly aims to integrate students from KBTU into RGU's School of Engineering, building upon existing research collaborations.

Through engagement in joint projects with industry partners in the energy sector, these students are poised to pursue impactful careers in specialized engineering research.
Kazakh students now have the opportunity to engage in RGU's engineering doctorate (EngD) program, tailored for experienced researchers aspiring to address forthcoming challenges in the energy industry. This collaboration enriches RGU's academic milieu with diverse viewpoints and enriches the learning journey for Kazakh students in Scotland. KBTU's Rector, Maratbek Gabdullin, stressed the significance of practical experience in shaping future professionals.

Established in 2001, KBTU is esteemed as one of Kazakhstan's premier research establishments, offering all its courses in English. Meanwhile, RGU boasts a long-standing history since 1729, renowned for its emphasis on industry-aligned education and research across various disciplines such as business, engineering, health sciences, and creative arts.
