Japan's Education Minister Visits Ukraine, Engages with Nemishaevo College

  • Moriyama Masahito, Japan's Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, and Science, has arrived in Ukraine to foster educational and cultural cooperation. The Japanese Embassy in Ukraine announced on Facebook that Minister Moriyama's visit includes a series of meetings aimed at discussing joint projects and exploring opportunities for further collaboration.

    During his visit, Minister Moriyama visited Nemishaevo Professional College in the Bucha district, Kyiv region. At the college, he observed students engaged in training and practice sessions using agricultural construction machinery, PCs, and other equipment provided by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)

    The minister was deeply impressed by the students' dedication and enthusiasm, noting the significant role their professional growth will play in Ukraine's recovery. "Seeing how the students' eyes shine during the practice even in such difficult conditions, the minister and his delegation were convinced that the professional growth of these young people will become a driving force for the restoration of Ukraine", the embassy's statement read.

    The Japanese Embassy underscored Japan's commitment to supporting Ukrainian students and continuing its active engagement in Ukraine's educational sector. This visit marks a strengthening of ties between Japan and Ukraine, with a focus on educational and cultural development amid challenging times.
