Indian Institute of Management, Shillong, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with James Cook University, Singapore. This is the 25th International engagement of IIM Shillong. Academically, it fostered excellence through joint research collaborations, cultural exchanges, co-curricular activities, and innovation of academic programmes, including student exchanges and joint degrees.
"IIM Shillong is committed to offering global opportunities for our students and faculty", said Professor D P Goyal, Director of IIM Shillong. "The coming together with JCU, Singapore, is lined up in pursuit of our vision to enhance the international interface".
"That is the purpose of this collaboration", said Professor Peter Scott, Vice-Chancellor of James Cook University, Singapore. "We look forward to sharing knowledge and expertise so as to create a workforce that is competent globally".
The signing ceremony is attended by both institutions' senior officials and symbolizes the initiation of a new regime of cooperation and knowledge sharing. This partnership further strengthens IIM Shillong's position as a worldwide business school with a multicultural operation system offering different opportunities to its students.
