IIHM is Set to Establish a New Campus in Singapore

  • The management of the Indian Institute of Hospitality and Management (IIHM) has announced the establishment of a new campus in Singapore. The institute, renowned for providing undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional courses in hotel management, is expanding its reach. Suparno Bose, the director of IIHM and leader of Indismart Group, shared details about the expansion strategy and highlighted the upcoming tenth edition of the IIHM Young Chef Olympiad.

The IIHM Young Chef Olympiad was created with the vision of providing young student chefs worldwide a stage to display their culinary talents and compete on a global scale. Over the years, this event has evolved into the world's largest culinary competition, spanning five cities in India and lasting seven days, with the finals held in the iconic city of Kolkata. Teams from various countries converge, making it a massive gathering of over 60 nations united by their passion for food. By bringing together aspiring chefs from diverse backgrounds, the aim is to facilitate mutual learning, idea exchange, and the formation of friendships. Through this, the event seeks to promote dialogue and collaboration, emphasizing the role of culinary diplomacy in fostering global peace.

The hospitality sector is currently undergoing significant expansion, surpassing pre-pandemic levels in terms of units, capacity, and revenue. Despite this growth, there is a noticeable shortage of skilled manpower in both the domestic and international contexts. Hence, opting for a hospitality education focused on skills is a prudent decision. Graduates in hospitality have abundant prospects, ranging from working in major global tourism hubs to joining renowned hospitality brands within India. At IIHM, we equip our students for a global career by offering top-notch skill education and support in securing placements.
