The five-day comprehensive Industrial Training Programme targeting students in chemistry will be conducted at the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon located at Rajagiriya, Sri Lanka. It will be organized by College of Chemical Sciences(CCS) this month.
The program will equip participants with basic knowledge of the chemical industry, as well as hands-on experience in practical applications. Er. GM Srinivasan is a veteran Petrochemical Technologist and a Managing Director at Galileovasan Offshore & Research and Development Private Limited in Nagapattinam. With these broad areas of knowledge and experience behind him, a lot more will be expected to impact the cognition of students concerning industrial chemistry practices.
This training program represents how the Institute is committed to plugging the gap between mere theoretical education and actual working experience in the industries. The Institute intends to empower these students with the skills and information needed to prepare them for fruitful careers in the chemical sector.
Realistic case studies will be the subjects that participants will go through as part of their learning with insights, which will come along with classroom learning. Students are highly encouraged to participate in this program due to it being one of the best opportunities available to equip the student with practical skills and knowledge that are required presently within the competitive job market.
Overall, the Industrial Training Program promises to be worthwhile and help enrich participants' resumes besides adequately preparing them for demands within the chemical industry. Students interested in taking professional development a step forward should consider this opportunity as well as get an added sense of what lies in the field they choose to venture into.
