Hong Kong Baptist Universities'(HKBU) Research Office hosted the 'Research Mixer' event, honoring distinguished awardees from several collaborative schemes.
The event commenced with an introduction by our Senior Manager Mr Ivan Lau. Researchers from diverse fields were captivated by presentations from Professor Xia Yiji, Professor Xu Jianliang, Dr Eric Zhang from the Faculty of Science, and Dr Daphne Mah from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. They not only detailed the schemes' features but also shared personal experiences and strategies that led to their successful applications, offering invaluable insights for attendees.
Following the presentations, researchers participated in laid-back conversation with the speakers, allowing for deeper exchanges on the specifics of the schemes and fostering a collaborative environment. This interactive session encouraged attendees to share their experiences and ask questions, enhancing the overall experience.
The researchers valued the insights shared, finding them both highly informative and captivating. Special thanks to PhD student Ms Wan Yuwei from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, who served as the MC and contributed to an engaging atmosphere.
