Harvard hosts Graduation for 60 Saudi Students from US Universities

  • The Saudi Club at Harvard University recently hosted a graduation ceremony for Saudi graduates from Harvard University, MIT, Boston University, and Tufts University. The event was held on Harvard's campus in Boston and was attended by Mohammed Khashaan, the director of the public diplomacy department at the Saudi Embassy in the US.

    During the ceremony, Khashaan emphasized the achievements of the distinguished Saudi students, noting that their graduation coincides with the significant changes brought about by Saudi Vision 2030. He highlighted the nation’s investment in its talented individuals and pointed out that Saudi Arabia is undergoing economic, industrial, and environmental growth. This development is creating new opportunities for citizens to pursue their aspirations and contribute to the future of the nation and the world.

    Additionally, US Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Michael Ratney, delivered a recorded speech congratulating the graduates and commending the Saudi Club for organizing the event to honour their accomplishments. Ratney shared his experiences from his first year in Saudi Arabia, noting that the professional and personal opportunities in the country have never been greater. He remarked on the richness of Saudi Arabia's resources and emphasized that the nation's most valuable asset is its human capabilities.

    Ratney also highlighted the diversity and growth he has witnessed in various fields within Saudi Arabia, ranging from filmmaking and video game development to space travel. He expressed his happiness in seeing this progress and the increasing opportunities available to Saudis in these areas.
