Hamdan Foundation Honors Winners of the EFQM Educational Model Award

  • The Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences recently honoured schools participating in the second cycle of the Hamdan EFQM Global Educational Model Award at The EFQM Forum in Istanbul, Turkey. 

    Dr. Jamal Mohammed Al Muhairi, Vice Chairman of the Foundation's Board of Trustees, expressed pleasure in recognizing outstanding schools excelling in the first cycle of the Hamdan EFQM Global Educational Model Award. The initiative aims to acknowledge and celebrate excellence in education, striving to build a comprehensive quality education system and spread best practices across various schools. This aligns with the Foundation's goals of keeping pace with educational advancements and implementing high international and technological standards. Collaborating with EFQM, the Foundation has developed a globally recognized model that enhances educational standards worldwide.

    Dr. Al Muhairi highlighted that the Hamdan model incorporates advanced standards to ensure quality in educational institutions, offering clear methodologies for achieving and sustaining excellence. He congratulated the honoured schools and praised the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) and the dedication of educators and experts who contributed to the program’s success.

    Russell Longmuir, CEO of EFQM, expressed excitement about partnering with the Foundation to implement the Hamdan EFQM Educational Model. This model aims to enhance educational quality through advanced frameworks, tools, and standards, focusing on strategic performance and engaging all stakeholders in planning and executing strategies. Its widespread adoption reflects its efficiency and significance in continuous improvement and assessment.

    The honoured schools include Qatar Al Nada Secondary School from Abu Dhabi, UAE; Emirates National Private School from Al Ain, UAE; GEMS Modern Academy from Dubai, UAE; The American School of Creative Science from Sharjah, UAE; Al Zaidiyah Government Girls School from Al Ain, UAE; and Fatima bint Al Yaman Government School from Kuwait.
