Google launches Scholarship Program in Mongolia

  • Google, in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Development and Communications, has launched a program aimed at training 1,000 experts. The inaugural cohort comprises 350 individuals of all age groups who will receive full scholarships. Upon completion, participants will be awarded the internationally recognized "Google Career Certificate."

The scholarship recipients will undergo a comprehensive training program, which includes three months of online study on the Coursera platform in English, supplemented by soft skills training in Mongolian conducted in a classroom setting. Each participant will receive knowledge capital equivalent to 3 million MNT.

The program spans three months and encompasses various learning modalities. Participants will engage in 40 hours of classroom instruction and internship, in addition to 30 hours of on-the-job training. This multifaceted approach ensures that learners acquire both theoretical knowledge and practical skills essential for success in the digital landscape.

Moreover, the "Grow with Google Mongolia" scholarship program offers opportunities for enterprises to collaborate. Businesses can partner with the program to recruit new staff equipped with e-skills and proficiency in the English language. Additionally, participating enterprises can further develop their existing workforce by providing them with access to this innovative training initiative.

By bridging the gap between education and industry needs, this program not only empowers individuals with valuable skills but also supports the growth and development of businesses in Mongolia's digital ecosystem. Through strategic partnerships and a holistic approach to training, Google and the Ministry of Digital Development and Communications are driving positive change and fostering a culture of lifelong learning and innovation in the country.
