Finnish Global Education Solutions (FGES) is currently on a two-week visit to India with the aim of strengthening ties between education stakeholders in Finland and India. The Embassy of Finland in India announced the visit, stating that it follows a recent formal partnership between FGES and Stones2Milestones, a prominent EdTech company in India. As part of the visit, FGES will conduct roadshows in various Indian cities, including Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Vadodara, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Delhi. These roadshows are designed to provide a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange and to facilitate valuable partnership opportunities between educational institutions in both countries.
The partnership between FGES and Stones2Milestones, along with the current initiatives, marks a noteworthy advancement in the education collaboration between India and Finland. The main goals of this visit include promoting educational partnerships, sharing best practices, and investigating opportunities for innovative and impactful learning solutions within the Indian education sector. Notably, Global Education Solutions (FGES), which is headquartered in Finland, specialise in K12 education development across the world. Meanwhile, Stones2Milestones (S2M) is an India-based education technology company established in 2009.
"The pace of this collaboration is truly exhilarating. FGES is eager to commence its operations in India almost immediately, underscoring the recognized opportunities in the Indian market. Business Finland has observed a growing number of Finnish education companies not only exploring the Indian market in recent years but also making commitments to establish their presence here," stated Sonali Saigal Kapur, Senior Advisor at Business Finland. In a groundbreaking partnership formalized last year during the visit of Finland's Minister of Education Anna-Maja Henriksson to India, Stones2Milestones and FGES have joined forces to transform global education. Their collective efforts focus on elevating teacher skills, introducing the Finnish learning approach to Indian schools with a focus on literacy and numeracy, and developing advanced technology solutions for global implementation.
