EStars, a leader in educational esports, introduced a new model in Middle East

  • EStars, the prominent player in educational esports globally, has introduced an innovative educational model for students in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Unveiled at the Misk Global Forum in Saudi Arabia, the Classroom of the Future offers a blueprint for transforming education with cutting-edge technologies and teaching methods. This initiative aims to empower students in an evolving world. EStars CEO Mags Byrne expressed satisfaction with the positive response from students, emphasizing their enthusiasm for embracing technology and studying new subjects like esports.

The past few months have been incredibly thrilling for EStars. Former two-time World Champion boxer, Amir Khan, visited the Classroom of the Future and expressed admiration. He emphasized the importance of integrating sports and gaming into the curriculum, enabling students to pursue future careers they are passionate about. Esports influencer Brandon Smith flew to Riyadh specifically to deliver a lesson on behalf of EStars, recognized as leaders in educational esports. Footballers Harry Maguire and Jordan Henderson appeared as holograms, while renowned physicist Dr. Michio Kaku and Saudi astronauts Rayyanah Barnawi and Ali Alqarni were present during the unveiling.

In 2022, the esports industry generated nearly $2 billion in revenue, experiencing annual growth of over 20%. Concurrently, Nigeria is strategically positioning itself for an innovative future in education, driven by EStars' strategic partnerships with prominent educational institutions like Chrisland Schools in Lagos. After a successful pilot program in 2023, where Chrisland Schools implemented EStars' educational Esports Club, the relationship was solidified through a recently formalized Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This development has quickly gained traction within the state, leading to the signing of additional MOUs with institutions such as the esteemed Ambassadors College.
